- How does the JetSuite SuiteKey Membership work?
- SuiteKey Membership is a pre-paid account to purchase private jet flights on JetSuite. The booking process is simple, just like buying an airline ticket. You let us know when and where you want to go, how flexible your schedule is, etc., and we give you the best price we have to offer. As a SuiteKey Member you receive a flight credit bonus that further lowers the cost of your flights as well as more favorable terms and conditions on the fares you purchase. JetSuite provides a dedicated team of client managers who will help you book your travel. No muss, no fuss, no commitments, and no ownership responsibilities. Consider JetSuite to be your private airline. It's the simpler, smarter way to fly a brand-new private jet.
-
- What is the maximum number of fractional owners on a given airplane?
- Zero. JetSuite is not a fractional business and avoids all the pitfalls of fractional ownership including monthly management fees, tax liabilities, legal and accounting requirements, unexpected maintenance expenses, and flying on old airplanes. Our airplanes are owned institutionally or outright by single parties. All their time is made available to members via our client managers and scheduling software.
-
- What is the cost?
- This depends on your propensity to travel. JetSuite offers its best rates to people who put funds on deposit via a SuiteKey Membership. Additionally, more flexible you are and the earlier you book, the lower the cost will be. Pricing can be viewed here; or, call 866-779-7770 for a custom quote.
-
- Do you guarantee trip costs?
- YES! Unlike virtually all other jet 'card' programs and charter companies, JetSuite will quote you UP FRONT for your trip, and if there is no change to your itinerary you will be billed as quoted even if the flight is delayed by weather, air traffic congestion or other factors beyond our control. (Some limitations apply on international trips where costs are not always consistent.)
-
- How do you bill the trip costs with a SuiteKey Membership?
- The price, hour(s) or day(s) used for your trip is deducted from your SuiteKey Membership account when the plane is first dispatched for your trip. Any trip costs like special catering are invoiced immediately after your trip and may also be deducted from your SuiteKey account. If you wish to pay these invoices separately, JetSuite puts a hold on funds remaining in your SuiteKey account and releases them when the invoice is settled. If your account if not settled within 30 days of the invoice, the funds are permanently deducted from your SuiteKey account.
-
- What is the length of the commitment required to become a SuiteKey Member?
- There are no commitments involved, and no minimum balances to be maintained. Funds and flight credits are valid indefinitely, and unused funds may be withdrawn at any time without penalty.
-
- Do I need to sign a contract to become a SuiteKey Member? Can I see it?
- Yes. For more information, please contact one of our sales consultants who will be more than happy to share this with you. However, you can also book with us without being a SuiteKey Member and have access to all our great prices including SuiteSaver fares.
-
- Am I a part owner of a jet when I become a SuiteKey Member?
- No. Shared ownership of an aircraft creates many complexities, competing interests, operational, insurance, and tax liabilities. All aircraft in our fleet are owned by JetSuite or leased from an individual owner. JetSuite holds 100% authority over the use of any jet in our fleet - no owner approvals are necessary. If you are interested in taking advantage of our whole airplane owner program, please see the FAQs on the website or call a JetSuite sales representative on (866) 779-7770.
-
- Are there any other maintenance/upkeep fees that will be assessed?
- No. (But if you, your guest or a pet damage an airplane you may, of course, be liable for repair and/or damages).
-
- Can two people share one SuiteKey Membership?
- Yes. You may designate to us in writing up to 2 additional lead passengers for your SuiteKey Membership. Please note that flight transportation sold under the Membership may not be remarketed or sold without our permission.
-
- How do you schedule the jet bookings?
- All you have to do is call. The more you can tell us about your trip, the better. At a minimum, we'll need to know the departure date, intended city of origin and destination (we can help you choose an airport), the number of passengers onboard and an estimate of passengers and luggage. Our Client Managers use JetSuite scheduling software to optimize your trip. In the unlikely event the exact times you want are not available, we will suggest alternatives.
-
- Does flying under Part 135 restrict my ability to fly?
- Occasionally, but with good reason. You may notice from time to time that privately-owned aircraft will operate when we do not. Some jets are operated under Part 91 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. Those operations are appropriate for parties who own their aircraft and understand all the various risks of flight operations to the extent necessary to exert operational control and assume liabilities and increased risk of those flights. JetSuite - ranked ARG/US Platinum (the highest achievable safety ranking) - retains full operational control. The Part 135 regulations applicable to our operators are more stringent and provide a level of safety beyond Part 91, including limiting operations in reduced visibility, subjecting pilots to background and drug tests, and restricting their duty time.
-
- Can I see the plane ahead of time?
- Absolutely! Just call to schedule an appointment.
-
- How is the jet outfitted?
- Our Phenom 100s are loaded with luxury appointments and the latest electronics. All of our jets have weather radar, XM Satellite Radio, BMW-designed interiors, a lavatory, and a dry galley which has a variety of snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
-
- Who trains the pilots?
- Currently all pilots are trained by the Embraer / CAE joint venture based at CAE Simuflight in Dallas Texas. Both Embraer and CAA are leaders in their fields. Embraer has been building aircraft since 1969, and their aircraft are in service with all many of the most recognized airlines in the United States and around the world. CAE has been training pilots since 1947. Then pilots are subject to line and flight checks overseen by the FAA.
-
- Can I keep the jet overnight?
- Yes. Crew duty time limitations may also apply, or we can often send another crew to continue your trip if you have a short rest period in your plans. Costs related to supporting the agreed flight itinerary will be reflected in your trip cost when a quote is provided to you.
-
- Who is responsible for maintaining the jet?
- JetSuite and the Original Equipment Manufacturers of the Phenom 100 and its engines maintain the fleet. Most JetSuite Jets are on maintenance plans provided directly by Embraer and Pratt & Whitney. All JetSuite jets are closely tracked by the operator and by the manufacturers and are on FAA approved maintenance plans.
-
- Who is responsible for cleaning and re-fueling the jet?
- JetSuite takes care of making sure the aircraft is ready to fly, which includes cleaning the cabin. Any costs associated with flight preparation activities are already included in the trip quote.
-
- Can I use the JetSuite SuiteKey Membership to qualify to fly my own Phenom?
- No. Members may not receive training, manipulate the flight controls or otherwise operate the aircraft.
-
- Can I continuously use the jet on back to back days?
- Absolutely. Each SuiteKey Member is entitled to unlimited "as-available" use. Daily charges apply whether the airplane is flown or not while under your exclusive use.
-
- I see that you have multiple bases; can I use JetSuite services in other locations either temporarily or semi-permanently?
- Yes. With JetSuite you have access to our growing network of bases and jets on the same terms and conditions, AND if available you can schedule more than one jet at a time, for example if you are bringing people from a few different cities to the same event.
-
- Can I become a SuiteKey Member first and then upgrade to become an owner?
- Yes. Ownership requests are taken in chronological order and upgrades may be available when a new aircraft is required in the fleet.
-
- This seems too good to be true!
- Thank you... it is very good and it's true. JetSuite has invested a lot of time, effort and technology into designing a program that provides easy, affordable, smart and accessible jet charter.
